True Healing – 6 classes over 5 weeks
February 16 @ 7:00 pm - March 24 @ 5:00 pm
True Healing – the recognition that well-being can be found in any situation – is available to everyone, no matter what the circumstances. When we are physically or emotionally struggling, we believe our life is on hold until we are cured or our problems are resolved. True Healing is the understanding that despite adverse conditions we can learn to develop compassion, wisdom, and even appreciation for our situation and our lives. With practice we can come to regard our struggles as an opportunity to deepen our relationship with ourself and others.
The True Healing Program is a course of study and meditation developed as a training to help you relate to your body and mind with acceptance and openness. Many people experience physical and emotional pain that we are unable to change, despite our best efforts to do so. This can cause frustration and disappointment, and sometimes a sense of shame that we can’t fix or correct our problems. Some people struggle for years trying to get better, and yet remain sick, in pain, emotionally distressed, or injured. This struggle can result in even greater disconnection from, and hostility towards, our bodies and ourselves.
Discover a sense of peace and ease in your life which doesn’t depend on eradicating pain, generating pleasant feelings, or creating ideal circumstances. Experienced teachers Dan and Kim will guide you in a unique blend of embodiment practices, lovingkindness meditation, discussion, and experiential exercises to transform experiences of suffering and stress into openness and self-acceptance, while approaching all aspects of ourselves with kindness, compassion, and wisdom.
Please note: the object of this program is not to prevent you from getting better. Rather the object is to deeply understand that allowing the present moment to arise without resisting it and/or fighting against it will profoundly change the way you relate to our struggles and bring a sense of freedom and ease to each moment.
This unique offering will be taught over five weeks.

Testimonials from previous retreats:
“Kim and Dan bring a combined wisdom and compassion that makes all meditators feel like they are safe, protected, able to move into a place of peace, health and ease in our bodies and minds. Their retreats are havens for self-compassion, learning to love our bodies and ourselves as we are, knowing that even with the pain and suffering we may all experience, we can find space between the moments of pain to sit and know, as humans, we are good just as we are.” Carolyn Z., Entrepreneur
“The Alexander Technique classes I have taken with Dan Cayer have improved my posture, chronic pain, and self-esteem. On retreats, Dan facilitates thoughtful lessons and discussions. The beautiful locations and positive group dynamic make retreats a great and encouraging way to learn about the Alexander Technique and mindfulness, especially for newcomers!” Rebecca M., Designer
“I had the wonderful opportunity to spend a weekend with Kim and Dan. I found the combination of Lovingkindness and the Alexander Technique a wonderful way to physically embody the practice. Kim and Dan hold a wonderful container that helped strengthen my practice and understanding. I would highly recommend any program that allows you to work with Kim and Dan as I found my practice is much better for it.” Renee B., CTO

What is True Healing?
The True Healing Program was developed as a training to help you relate to your body and mind with acceptance and openness, and discover a sense of peace and ease in your life which doesn’t depend on eradicating pain, pleasant feelings, or ideal circumstances. So many of us experience physical and emotional pain which we may be unable to fix despite our best efforts to do so. We feel frustrated, disappointed, perhaps even ashamed that we can’t solve or correct our problems. Many of us spin our wheels for years trying to get better. We can feel disconnected from our bodies and isolated from others.
