Often our body isn’t in the condition we wish it were: it’s too weak, too large, painful, or old. Many of our attempts to improve or correct the body are flavored by self-aggression and perfectionism. What would it be like to work with your body, posture, and pain without struggling against the present moment?
In this workshop, you will learn how to listen to your body and respond skillfully and compassionately to its needs using movement, meditation exercises, hands-on guidance, and the practice of Alexander Technique (a century-old method for improving coordination, balance, and posture). Come find out why Alexander Technique has become required curriculum at institutions like Julliard for its ability to transform habitual patterns.
