June 11, 2016 @ 2:00 am - 4:00 pm

$35
Meditation posture and mindfulness of body

Staying mindful and healthy is more challenging than ever with digital demands on our attention from multitasking, smartphones, and social networking. Utilizing gentle hands-on guidance and experiential exercises, this workshop teaches a three-step process for staying balanced and thoughtful, even while staring at a screen. Developing a simple practice of mindfulness and body awareness will reduce clutter and distractions and help you become more productive and less frazzled.

Dan Cayer has helped countless individuals change their relationship with their pain, better manage stress, and find a freedom and ease they never thought possible in their body. Dan integrates his training as a nationally certified Alexander Technique teacher and meditation instructor with his personal experience coming back from a severe injury and chronic pain. His gentle, hands-on process helps individuals improve their performance and discover their own well-being. His lively and engaging teaching style has helped individuals at the N.Y. State Pain Society conference, Westchester Summer Vocal Institute, American Society for the Alexander Technique, and meditation centers around NYC. He leads retreats in the Hudson Valley. He also helps individuals overcome their fear of water and learn to swim with easy breathing and relaxation techniques. Dan’s private practice is located in Midtown Manhattan and Park Slope, Brooklyn.
