Loving-kindness Retreat with Kim and Dan

September 10, 2016 @ 10:00 am - September 11, 2016 @ 1:30 pm

Lovingkindness meditation retreat New York City

Create a world of harmony and peace for yourself and others.  Learn to develop kindness, compassion, and clarity with this special weekend training designed to deepen your meditation practice.

Metta, or Lovingkindness, is a traditional Buddhist meditation that cultivates our inherent qualities of love, kindness and friendliness to all beings, including ourselves. This practice-based meditation retreat is designed to reacquaint you with your heart and the profound connection we share with all living beings.

Kimberly Brown and Dan Cayer are leading this offering, which will include seated and walking meditation, instruction, and group discussion.

To create a compassionate and serene environment for all participants, we ask you to refrain from using devices during this retreat. Please make any arrangements necessary in advance to support your practice.

We’ll enjoy a 45-minute afternoon lunch practice period together. Please bring lunch with you, and note that IDP has a fridge, but no microwave. Wear comfortable clothes; you can choose to sit on a cushion or chair as you prefer.

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in.  No prior meditation experience is necessary, all levels are welcome.

Register by September 3 and pay $100. After that date, the full price of the retreat is $140
